Trade Show Event Climate Control

Challenge
To provide energy-efficient climate control for a world renowned trade show event facility. The event structure is approximately 65,000 sq. feet with a volume of over 1.3 million cubic feet. Peak attendance reached over 2,000 visitors at one time. ICS provided cooling during the day and heating at night with unobtrusive portable climate control systems.

Objective
To maximize energy efficiency, minimize fuel consumption and hydro-carbons while cooling.

Unobtrusive distribution

Solution
ICS designed and configured a system of ceiling suspended perforated ducts and clustered fan forced heat exchangers to provide temperature control, air circulation and management of relative humidity. Cooling was achieved by using chilled water from the nearby Elbow River. Warm air was achieved through portable indirect hydronic climate control units.

Result
ICS met or exceeded all objectives that were requested by the event organizer. The exhibitors and visitors successfully conducted business in the ideal climate controlled environment.
